Gdansk Tourist Organisation/Gdańsk Convention Bureau CEO – Anna Górska has been chosen to be a member of the jury which every year elects Polish Congess Ambassadors. This jury will be in office for three years, form 2012 to 2015. It is the first time when a representative from Gdańsk & Region will be part of the jury.

Every year the jury chooses up to twenty Ambassadors, whose role is to promote Poland as a good location for business meetings. They are people who are well known among professionals and trusted, e.g. scientists, industry specialists or diplomats. Their word of praise is the best advertisement Poland can get. This specific form of word-of-mouth marketing is very effective, since people are more likely to believe information coming from our friends rather than strangers or from advertisements.

The fact that Anna Gorska was chosen to be a jury member is also an honour for Gdańsk Convention Bureau. `I am very glad about this nomination, because it means Gdańsk & Region’s growing importance on Polish business meeting market. – says Anna Górska, GOT/GCB CEO. – It is also worth reminding that in 2011 four out of fourteen Ambassadors were connected with the University of Gdańsk.`

Polish Congress Ambassadors programme is conducted by Polish Tourist Organization/Poland Convention Bureau and Congresses and Conferences in Poland association. Until now, 120 people were honoured with an Ambassador title. Prof. Michał Kleiber, president of Polish Academy of Sciences, has taken honorary patronage on the programme.
