Reed Travel Exhibitions is moving ahead with preparations for a new edition of La Cumbre, The Americas’ Travel Industry Summit, which will take place from 5-7 September 2012 at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek | Waldorf Astoria Orlando, in Orlando, Florida.
Exhibition spaces have been confirmed at a fast pace since the conclusion of the 2011 edition, with more than 60% of the exhibition floor already confirmed for the 2012 edition.
Registration is now open for GSAs and buyers; limited spaces for hosted buyers are already being filled.
New starting this year, the event will offer the possibility of pre-scheduling up to 36 business meetings, which translates into 20% more meetings. To that end, the duration of activities will be extended from two-and-a-half days to three complete days. The first day of the event, for the second consecutive year, the Tourism Branding Forum @ La Cumbre will be presented, offering a conference programme and panels featuring industry-leading companies and organisations. The last two days will be devoted exclusively to business meetings and networking.
Likewise, La Cumbre will continue offering the Hosted Buyer Programme, whereby pre-qualified Buyers who register prior to 15 June 2012, and meet all of the requirements, will receive a complete refund of their registration fee, which includes the hotel stay during the 3 nights of the event, after the event has concluded. The objective of this Programme entirely funded by Reed Travel Exhibitions, is to provide incentives and support for the carrying out of meetings and possible business deals between buyers and exhibitors.
The Waldorf Astoria Orlando | Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek will be hosting the event; the two hotels are neighbouring properties and share an exclusive view and access to the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club. In addition, the space where the conferences will take place and the exhibition floor will also be housed within the same complex where the delegates will be lodging.
