With the departure of A3 982, AEGEAN, the largest Greek carrier and a member of Star Alliance network, today inaugurated new direct service between Athens and Tbilisi, Georgia. AEGEAN will connect Athens to Tbilisi with 2 flights per week. Flight A3 982 will depart every Monday and Thursday from Athens International Airport at 00:25 and arrive at Tbilisi International airport at 04:20. Flight A3 983 will depart Tbilisi International Airport at 05:15 (local time) and arrive in Athens at 07:15. Flights to Tbilisi will be operated with a 168-seat, AIRBUS A320 aircraft featuring Business and Economy class service.

To celebrate the first flight of Aegean Airlines, Tbilisi International Airport, held a ceremony at Departure hall, while a special cake with logos of TAV Georgia and Aegean Airlines cut by TAV and AEGEAN representatives Together with other honorable guests, passengers departing with the first flight of AEGEAN from Tbilisi to Athens were invited to the ceremony.
