Remy was deeply impressed with the uniquely strong peaceful atmosphere of the village and the surrounding area.

When he was asked about the distance from the airport in Athens, he was certain that the 400 kilometers would not deter the enthusiasm of dedicated climbers, as the ‘‘Kavomalias – Zobolo ’’ park can offer a great number of advantages for them.

As far as the climbers’ community is concerned, Remy mentioned that it is constantly growing, and in Switzerland today there are more than 100.000 climbers. Most of them belong to the upper socio-economic class and they travel many times to different places around the world every year in pursuit of their hobby.  Remy mentioned that climbers usually travel in groups of 2 to 6 persons and are accompanied by their family only when the area offers the facilities and activities needed for them.

During their stay, Claude and Christine Remy visited, and were deeply impressed, with the Byzantine city of Monemvasia and of the Lasaretto hotel, where they stayed. They also visited the picturesque, village Kyparissi, which is situated by the sea and thought it was beautiful. During their visit Remy was very impressed by the near by Kyparissi climbing park, which he classified as a superb climbing venue with endless possibilities. He promised to come back and open at least 50 climbing courses himself.
