Prague as a location of movies such as Mission Impossible, James Bond, Amadeus or League of Extraordinary Gentlemen – such breakfast tasting of Prague was prepared for congress organizers by the Prague Convention Bureau. The event called Prague Movie Breakfast took place within the MICE Fair IMEX in Frankfurt, Germany.
Prague Convention Bureau organized the Prague Movie Breakfast in the hotel Marriott Frankfurt on Wednesday 23rd of May. It was attended by significant event organizers from Europe and the Middle East. “We wanted to introduce Prague for the first time in an unconventional and interactive way at the IMEX, that’s why we decided to create a movie presentation. We believe that this entertaining form of presenting Prague in an unusual way can attract everyone’s attention. Hardly anyone knows how popular this destination is among filmmakers and that the shooting locations or themes of the films can be used when organizing accompanying programmes of conferences or incentive stays,” says the managing director of PCB Lenka Žlebková.
The competition was based on seven trailers of films shot in Prague. For each trailer there was one question related to the particular film, as well as to Prague as a congress destination. Answers to each question could be found in a map titled Lights! Camera! Prague!, published by the City of Prague and the Czech Film Commission.
Based on correct answers, the participants obtained great prizes donated by PCB members; the winner won a weekend stay in the Augustine Hotel Prague, tickets to a performance in the State Opera provided by Liberty Incentives & Congresses Prague, and a dinner in the Francouzská Restaurant. The second prize comprised of a weekend stay in Clarion Congress Hotel Prague and a dinner in one of the Zátiší Group restaurants, and a third prize winner received a voucher for a stay in the hotel Park Inn Prague and a flight simulator experience provided by iPILOT.
