Courage, passion and innovation – these are characteristics not only of successful inventors but also of successful events.

The European Patent Office placed the European Inventor Award, one of the most renowned competitions that honours every year the creativity of inventors from around the world, again into the trusted hands of the event specialists of VOK DAMS Munich.

This year the Award Ceremony took place in Copenhagen, Denmark. Since 2006, the European Inventor Award has been presented annually by the European Patent Office in cooperation with the European Commission, the country which holds the EU presidency – which this year is Denmark – and, this year, the Danish Patent and Trademark Office.

Europe’s most prestigious award for innovation and inventors from around the world is bestowed in the five categories “Lifetime Achievement”, “Industry”, “Research”, “Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” (“SMEs”) as well as “Non-European Countries”.

At the Royal Danish Playhouse in Copenhagen, the VOK DAMS team from Munich organized and implemented again a perfect event, which generated great media and press responses Europe-wide and was well received by the high-calibre guests from the press, politics, research, business, and patent system.

Danish Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Mary were the honorary guests. The event was opened by the President of the European Patent Office Benoît Battistelli.

The event was rounded off by an entertaining networking evening with an intensive exchange of experiences and opinions among the award winners and guests at the event centre Toldboden.

The entirely positive feedback from the participants demonstrates that the guests’ expectations were fully met again this year.
