The International Union of Lawyers (UIA), the professional lawyers association created in Paris in 1927 and now open to all lawyers of the world, has chosen Florence for the 58th edition of the UIA Congress, the principal UIA event annually held in a different country in order to bring together lawyers from around the world and spend four days discussing the most topical issues for the legal profession, exchanging knowledge and experiences, addressing topics ranging from business law, the future of the profession , the protection of human rights.
“The special edition of 2014,” as says the lawyer Carlo Mastellone, local coordinator of the Congress and Director of Education at the UIA headquarters in Paris, “is the interactions between the legal issues and the city of Florence. We will debate topics relating to legal protection of cultural and historical-artistic heritage and also a reflection on law, fashion and design, always with an international fashion. Given the beauty of our city, it will be a very interesting conference and we expect more participants than usual. “
The event, hosted this year in Dresden and next year in Macao, will be held for the first time in the congress center of Firenze Fiera in October 2014 and will host more than 1500 professionals from around the world. Florence Convention Bureau won the UIA 2014 together with MJ Events, Manuela Bertelli’s Florentine PCO, which will take care of all organizational aspects of the Congress Centre in conjunction with the UIA Centre in Paris.
