For the second time, the Tourism Branding Forum will be presented within the framework of the La Cumbre conference programme

Two months shy of its 23rd edition, and with more than 95% of the exhibition floor sold, La Cumbre, The Americas´ Travel Industry Summit, and Grupo BT are completing the preparations for the Tourism Branding Forum @ La Cumbre. La Cumbre is organised by Reed Travel Exhibitions and will take place this coming 5-7 September in Orlando, Florida, at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek | Waldorf Astoria Orlando resort properties in Orlando, Florida.

During the 5th of September, the first day of activities of La Cumbre 2012, the Tourism Branding Forum @ La Cumbre will be presented. This conference programme provides a space to exchange knowledge, experiences and proposals, bringing together the leading professionals of the Americas to learn about business and marketing strategies and trends for different segments of the Industry. The objective of the programme is, moreover, to incentivise contact amongst professionals from different areas and organisations, helping to create business ties. It should be noted that at all conferences presented, simultaneous interpreting will be offered in Spanish, English and Portuguese.

The programme will consist of six conferences and panels, presented and moderated by renowned professionals with an extensive international track record. These include Judy Franks, Director of Executive Education of the Media Management Center at Northwestern University, who will offer the conference “Five Global Truths that Make Sense of a Messy Media World, and Randy Hlavac, founder of the specialized consulting firm Marketing Synergy, who will present “Social Conversations: How to Monetize Your Social Presence,” after which he will moderate an executive panel on the topic. Randy Hlavac regularly performs as a lecturer and trainer for organisations such as Direct Marketing Association, National Center for Database Marketing andChicago Association of Direct Marketing, amongst others.

In the afternoon, attendees may take part in the closing exercise moderated by Anita Mendiratta, a consultant and member of CNN T.A.S.K. Group.  T.A.S.K. (Tourism Advertising Solutions & Knowledge) is a group belonging to the CNN media company, and is made up byindependent tourism industry professionals, whose mission is to advise CNN’s tourism industry clients on strategy and communication issues.

During the days following the Tourism Branding Forum @ La Cumbre, on 6 and 7 September, destination presentationswill be offered by New York & Company, Proexport Colombia, Hilton Worldwide and InterContinental Hotel Group.

Those same two days, pre-scheduled business meetings will be held amongst Exhibitors, Buyers and GSAs. This year, for the first time, the number of appointments is being extended to a total of 36 business meetings of 15 minutes each, with the event concluding on Friday 7September at 5:30 pm.
