The Federal Agency for Tourism of Russia (Rostourism) has announced a new brand identity of Russia for tourism including new logo and slogan. A new logo will be applied to all activities conducted under the federal target program (FTP) for tourism development in the Russian Federation until 2018. The logo creation contest was announced and the company “Artichoke” won the competition, Deputy Head of the Federal Tourism Agency Dmitry Mikheyev told journalists.
“The logo must be understandable for both domestic and foreign tourists. There were four ideas, but we have chosen the logo “My Russia”. Russia is a large diverse country with many kinds of tourism, and everyone can choose something they like. Therefore, the logo consists of two components – a clear writing of “Russia” in Russian and in English and a prefix “My”, which is handwritten, because everyone sees Russia in their own way,”- a Project Leader Yulia Solovieva explained.
According to her, the main slogan of this logo for foreign exhibitions will be translated as “Reveal your own Russia”. www.atorus.ru
