As of 24 September, TUI AG will again be listed as an industry leader in the ‘Travel & Tourism’ section of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) World and Europe. At the annual review of the sustainability rankings, Europe’s leading tourism group received particularly high scores in the categories of climate change strategy, risk and crisis management, and stakeholder dialogue.

The company managed to improve its position in the category of Environmental Policy / Management System as well as in the area of Corporate Citizenship / Philanthropy.

“Our continuous listing in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index is in recognition of our sustainability strategy and is confirmation of our commitment towards our stakeholders and in particular the capital market. The international ranking moreover provides a good decision basis for sustainability-aware investors, an interest group that is gaining increasing significance for us“, said TUI AG CFO Horst Baier.

Background: The DJSI comprises 340 companies of the 2,500 members of the Dow Jones Global Index leading the field in terms of sustainability. Alongside economic criteria, the assessment takes account of selected ecological and social criteria.
