For this first-ever edition, courtesy of Brussels-Capital Region, people will be able to taste and learn more about chocolate of every shape and kind.
Through a range of activities, chocolate will be in the spotlight from 19 to 25 November 2012. The week will include themed routes, visits to workshops, tasting sessions at the chocolate-makers, tips on finding unique chocolate-based dishes in Brussels restaurants, an after-work ‘chocolate special’, workshops, and more!
Thematic routes
One week is not enough to explore the art of the chocolate-maker in Brussels. However, thanks to the participation of various associations, we can offer you a great programme of visits, walks, meetings, and tastings – all centred round the world of the sacred bean. Just remember that you must book in advance.
Tastings at the chocolate-makers
A special tasting route has been put together, enabling people to visit some of the city’s best-known chocolate firms. All you have to do is pick up a CHOCOLATE PASS and the accompanying plan, before setting off on your walk through the streets of Brussels. Stroll along at your own pace, in the full knowledge that there is an opportunity to indulge your taste buds on almost every street corner… which is of course the delicious goal of this walk.
The CHOCOLATE PASS costs 5€ and includes 10 coupons. It will be on sale at participating firms and in the VISITBRUSSELS reception offices.
Restaurants make chocolate their ‘special dish’
Over the space of a week and beyond, restaurateurs around Brussels will be signing up to the ‘chocolate’ theme by offering an all-chocolate dish. This creative challenge will bring together spices and flavours that are sure to delight gourmets.
Practical information, bookings, a list of participating chocolate-makers and restaurateurs can be found soon on the website: www.brusselicious.be
