Travel Channel International announces its partnership with World Travel Market, the leading global event for the travel industry, as opening ceremony sponsor for 2012.

As part of the deal, Travel Channel will produce a stand-alone thirty minute documentary feature from WTM which it will broadcast across its fast-expanding network, which is currently available in 130 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.  Travel Channel will also produce a series of short-film elements that will feature in the opening ceremony and sponsor the post-opening celebration.

Travel Channel International has recently been acquired by Scripps Networks International, the international development arm of Scripps Networks Interactive (SNI) which owns and operates some of the most recognisable and popular television networks in the US.

Reed Travel Exhibitions Chairman World Travel Market Fiona Jeffery OBE said: “World Travel Market is delighted to again be working the Travel Channel International. WTM has a ten-year long relationship with Travel Channel, which has seen it produce a number of top-quality programmes and features over recent years.
