Prague, December 2012 – In December, Prague Convention Bureau has joined a project which helps children from orphanages in the Czech Republic. It has become a partner of the project „Art for Freedom“, run by the organization Audabiac, which started in 1998 and its aim is to open the door to various fields to abandoned children with the help of artists and other professionals in order to teach them the basics of the craft, inspire children to be creative and to get new stimuli.

„For a long time, we have been considering our participation in some form of charity work. We found the project of the organization Audabiac interesting, because the majority of children in orphanages they are studying at schools related to our field. Therefore, together with our members, we would like to give these children a chance at their starting line, which is usually the most difficult moment of their lives – to start independent living,“ said the managing director of Prague Convention Bureau Lenka Žlebková about the cooperation.

The main objective of the cooperation is to create job training for children in orphanages who attend schools focused on the field of tourism or hospitality. This should help them to get social stability and possibly positively affect their future. A secondary goal is to inform about the problems of children in orphanages and support the financing of artistic activities of the association.
