World Travel Market, the leading global event for the travel industry, is expanding its highly-successful mid-year half-day WTM Vision Conference series to seven events in 2013.

2013 will see an event in São Paulo added to last year’s programme taking the total to seven WTM Vision Conference events in;

  • Moscow, 2 April
  • Beijing, 8 April
  • São Paulo, 24 April (taking place at the inaugural World Travel Market Latin America, a fellow Reed Travel Exhibitions event)
  • London, 1 May
  • Dubai, 7 May (taking place at fellow Reed Travel Exhibitions event Arabian Travel Market)
  • Rimini, 17 October (this was held in Milan last year and Florence in 2012)
  • Mumbai (date yet to be confirmed)

The WTM Vision Conference series started in 2009 with an event in London, in association with Kingley Event Management. Its objective is to provide the industry’s senior leaders with the most up-to-date research, information and opinion to help them run their businesses.

The 2013 London event will take place at Soho House on May 1 with an audience of the most senior travel industry executives. This year an advisory panel of these senior industry leaders has been set up to make sure the content remains relevant and useful for those executives leading the industry.

The panel includes;

  • · Amadeus UK & Ireland Managing Director Diane Bouzebiba
  • · Low Cost Holidays Group Chief Executive Paul Evans
  • · Cunard Line President & Managing Director Peter Shanks
  • · Voyage Prive Managing Director John Bevan

Evans said: “WTM Vision Conference is a great event which is a must-attend event for all the UK industry’s decision makers. I had the privilege of speaking at the 2010 event and I was impressed with both the high-level debate and the quality of the delegates. I am honoured to be able to advise World Travel Market on how to continue the success of WTM Vision.”

Bouzebiba added: “I am delighted to be an advisor for the WTM Vision Conference. There is a vital need for the latest information and senior-level debate which WTM Vision provides. I look forward to advising WTM to make sure the Vision Conference remains at the forefront of the industry.”

All seven events will include exclusive research from Euromonitor International, giving delegates the latest and most current information and statistics from the worldwide, regional and local travel and tourism industry.

Reed Travel Exhibitions Chairman World Travel Market Fiona Jeffery said: “The WTM Vision Conference series has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2009. In 2010, Milan and Dubai were added to the series before expansion in the emerging markets with events in Moscow, Mumbai and Shanghai.

“I am delighted to be adding São Paulo to the list of WTM Vision Conference events of 2013. The global industry has responded incredibly positively to the idea of half-day mid-year events offering the latest information and opinion which is vital for the senior executives to run their businesses.

“At Reed Travel Exhibitions and World Travel Market, we strive to make sure all our events are of the highest quality and I am delighted to be able to announce the advisory council for WTM Vision London, which will help us to keep the event as current as possible.”
