Pedro Duque, the Spanish Astronaut at the European Space Agency (ESA) Will Present a Paper on ESA’s Manned Flight Programmes within the Framework of the Leading Forum on Tourism and Technology at FITUR
Madrid, 14th January 2013. – The Spanish astronaut at the European Space Agency (ESA), Pedro Duque, will take part at FITUR for the first time next Thursday 31st January 2013 within the framework of the seventh staging of FITURTECH, the leading forum on tourism and technology. Duque will talk about ESA’s Manned Flight Programmes.
The Spanish astronaut, who currently heads the Flight Operations Department at the European Space Agency, will present a paper on the second day of FITURTECH at 12.00 p.m., focusing on the physical, human, technical and emotional aspects of space travel.
Ana Bru, the owner of Bru&Bru Barcelona and the first Spanish space tourist, and Mariano López-Urdiales, CEO and Founder of Zero2 Infinity, will also take part at the Forum on the same day. The astronaut, who comes from Madrid, will also be welcomed by the Director of FITUR, Ana Larrañaga, and the President of the Hotel Technology Institute (ITH) and the Spanish Hotel and Tourist Accommodation Confederation (CEHAT), Juan Molas.
FITURTECH, which is due to take place between 30th January and 1st February 2013 in Hall 10 (Stand 10B03) at Feria de Madrid, is organised by the Hotel Technology Institute (ITH) and FITUR. This Forum will analyse how tourism and the hotel industry have developed towards new ideas and emotions by tackling new horizons and offering new tourist products., hand in hand with hotel chains such as Room Mate Hotels, Hospes Infinite Places, Palladium Hotel Group, Axel Hotels y NH Hoteles, and companies such as Google, The Leading Hotels of the World and Microsoft Ibérica.
