The Kempinski Hotel Hybernská Prague, part of Europe’s oldest luxury hotel group Kempinski, has announced that for the second year running it will be offering up to 10 Czech candidates a place on its “Career Bus” in order for them to attend the Kempinski Group’s annual “Career Day” which this year takes place in the Kempinski Hotel Airport Munich on 2nd, March, 2013.
The Kempinski Career Day is an opportunity for talented individuals from the hospitality industry, whether already employed by the Kempinski Group or otherwise, to have the opportunity to meet with more than 60 of its General Managers and corporate experts from all around the world in order to discuss their prospective career opportunities. This is the third year that the Career Day has been held, and this year it is expected to be even bigger and better than previously.
The trip to the Kempinski Career Days is organised by the management of the Kempinski Hybernská Prague in order to give up to 10 local people, chosen during pre-selection interviews in the hotel, to have the chance of participating in the Career Day free of charge.
Anyone interested in attending needs to send their CV to the Human Resources Department of the Kempinski Hybernská on hr.prague@kempinski.com (subject “Career Day”) by Wednesday, February 6th, 2013. Interviews by the Executive Team of the hotel will then be held during the week beginning 11th February, 2013 and, if selected, the candidates will be offered a place on the Career Bus.
Talking about this unique opportunity, Peter Knoll, General Manager of the Kempinski Hotel Hybernská Prague, said: “Every year, we have several of our own employees participating in the Career Day, and they find it a great and very useful experience. Last year was the first time that we organised the Career Bus and offered it to people from outside our hotel, and this proved a huge success.
To date, two young Czech people that have attended the Career Day have found their dream positions within the Kempinski Group – one in the Seychelles and one in Slovenia. We hope that this year will provide similar opportunities to one or other of our local candidates.”
The Kempinski Group has a very ambitious growth strategy and the Career Day is aimed at ensuring that it finds some of the best talents from all over the hospitality world to work within the group and, in particular, to staff the new hotels that are opening on a regular basis.
In total, over 2,500 internal and external participants have already attended the Kempinski Career Days in Munich, China and the Middle East, and the success rate is very high. More than 50 percent of the external applicants who took part in the Kempinski Career Day 2012 in Munich have received an offer and have taken on an international career within the Group.
Internal applicants were also successful, as 90 percent ultimately received an offer for their next career step.
Kempinski Hotels has always prided itself on its HR strategy and in 2011 it was awarded 1st place in the category “Best People & Talent Management Programme” in the prestigious Worldwide Hospitality Awards for its “Essential! (“E!”) Training Programme”.
