Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has confirmed the appointment of Keith Prowse, National Sporting Club and Sports Hospitality Group as the official hospitality sales agents at Lord’s for 2013 and 2014.

Ashes Urn 1Following the announcement earlier in the year that MCC has now taken overall control of the hospitality offering at the world famous cricket ground, due to the anticipated high demand for the forthcoming seasons – which includes the 2nd Investec Ashes Test Match – the Club has recognised the need for three official agents to support the onsite team in selling selected hospitality packages.

Keith Prowse’s hospitality division was established in 1975 and pioneered the concept of linking business and sport through client entertaining. The company holds some of the UK’s most coveted official hospitality contracts and has enjoyed a previous longstanding relationship as official hospitality suppliers for MCC.

Jeff Banks, Strategic Sales Director at Keith Prowse, said: “We are delighted to continue our thirty year working relationship with MCC at Lord’s Cricket Ground. We look forward to working with the Club during an exciting time for English cricket, particularly with the Australian and Indian teams touring in the next two seasons.”

The National Sporting Club, formed in 1891 has a history of entertaining sporting greats at its famous banquets before the company added corporate hospitality at sporting events to its portfolio over 25 years ago.

Lee Gregory, Proprietor of The National Sporting Club said: “We are honoured to be made an official hospitality partner of MCC, at Lord’s, the Home of Cricket – and we look forward to working together for many years to come.”

Chris Dixon, Operations Director, Sports Hospitality Group added: “It is really exciting for us to be entering into partnership with MCC as an official hospitality agent and we look forward to building momentum in the approach to the Ashes in July 2013.”

The agents will be selling the Nursery Pavilion and Danubius Hotel packages, while other packages such as the Captains’ Lounge and Marylebone Suite can only be purchased directly from the Hospitality team at Lord’s.
