Jamberoo Action Park is preparing for a huge Summer as they launch two thrilling water attractions. The first is the LONGEST and BIGGEST water ride of its kind in the world – Funnel Web. Next there’s Banjo’s Billabong – the LARGEST interactive water play area built in the Southern Hemisphere, both opening for the Summer from 8 December.
Funnel Web will leave riders wide-eyed and holding their breath as they zoom through darkness at an amazing 30 km an hour. Twisting and turning down the water slide’s 280 metres in approximately 37 seconds, riders will hit multiple, gut-wrenching, zero-gravity moments as they become sucked into the Funnel Web’s burrow, only to be spat out and saturated at the end.
Banjo’s Billabong will also thrill as it’s packed with water slides, water cannons, bridge climbs and spray features. A huge bucket that crowns the area tips 1,200 litres of water down on aqua-loving guests every 10 minutes, providing hours of splashable fun for all ages.
Dax Eddy, Jamberoo Action Park Executive Director said, “We’re excited to officially open Stage One of our Kangaroo Island expansion to the public this Summer.
Funnel Web and Banjo’s Billabong are world-class water rides and attractions that will wow guests of all ages. We can’t wait for this to be one of the best Summers ever at Jamberoo Action Park!” These new rides are part of the Park’s $11.6 million expansion, and now join attraction favourites including, Taipan, Outback Bay, Billabong Beach and the iconic Bobsled.
Whilst spinning and splashing, guests can also bop along to tracks thanks to in-Park DJ Davy Gee. For Park information and access to the new mobile e-ticketing system, guests can download the Jamberoo Smartphone App. In three easy steps guests can purchase mobile e-tickets online via their smartphone and receive priority entry.
Guests can also be transported to and from the Park to Kiama Railway Station on the Jamberoo Summer School Holiday Bus Service.
