Mobile Trends Conference was held on 21 – 22 February 2013 at Park Inn by Radisson in Krakow. The conference brought together IT industry, Mobile developers and new technologies’ specialists.
Participants had an opportunity to listen to experts such as: Monika Mikowska (jestem.mobi), Lukasz Klosowski (GoMobi.pl), Mariusz Gasiewski (Google), Krzysztof Marzec (Interia.pl) and Vitaliy Rudnytskiy (SAP). Key speakers shared their opinion on new trends and possible changes in mobile solutions, applications for smartphones and tablets.
Speakers presented few examples of best mobile apps, properly prepared testing programs and explained industry professionals that it’s extremely important when preparing budget and marketing campaign for the product to leave time and budget for unexpected changes and errors that may occur after the product was launched.
The first part of the conference (Business Day) ended with Mobile Trends Awards Ceremony, where top polish mobile solutions were awarded by jury – worldwide IT experts and mobile technology professionals. Products were nominated in 16 categories.
GCBeVENT, one of Poland’s first mobile apps for conferences and congresses, has been nominated and took 1st placein the category of Mobile application – Communication and Community. GCBeVENT (product by Gdansk Convention Bureau / DeSmart) was nominated in the category together with:
* the Smartzilla and AT GROUP for “Mobilny Samorzad” app
* the Mobiler and Edipresse-Wizaz for application KWC
* LuckyDevs for the GoldenDroid app
What’s more, Gdansk Tourist Organization (together with KSI) received a second nomination. This time for gdansk4uMOBILE app in the category City with best site or mobile application. The Award received City of Szczecin for the application Visit Szczecin (by MoveApp).
