Travel Zoom has started with a comprehensive overview of creativity of tourist destination and product campaigns and a look into the future of European tourism marketing. A day before the official conference opening, an international expert jury has gathered in Bled to select the most creative, strategically sophisticated and effective tourism campaigns.
The jury comprised of top marketing experts and leading academics such as Marko Majer, Pawel Nizinski, Jure Apih, Primož Žižek, Dr. John Heeley, Gonzalo Vilar, Magdalena Osmola, Nikola Žinić, Dejan Križaj and Aleksandra Brezovec, had to choose among campaigns from Slovenia and Croatia. The Golden Zoom award will be granted to the best destination and corporate campaign. The jury was unanimous. The first campaign had good campaignability, shown authenticity, included genius loci and much more. The second campaign had a clear message, was fun, emotional, focused and showed simplicity. The winners will be announced tonight at the Golden Zoom Award Ceremony.
In the next two days Travel Zoom will amuse the audience with creative workshops, provocative lectures, Pecha Kucha presentations, topical debates and so much more. Delegates will have numerous opportunities for networking, opportunities for socialising and meeting new friends. This year the Travel Zoom Conference is going to end with a round table on Sports tourism – Marketing Challenge of Tourist Destination. Business professionals from sports, as well as destination tourism are going to talk about marketing challenges and opportunities of sports events.
Experts like Aleš Križnar, Director of EuroBasket 2013, Jelko Gros, director of the Planica Institute of Sports of the Republic of Slovenia, Iztok Kvas, Manager of ŠC Pohorje & Specialized Bike Park Pohorje, Bogdan Fink, Manager of Cycling Team Adria Mobil and Eva Štravs Podlogar, Director at Bled Tourism Board, will try to gives us the answer to “Is Slovenia and the whole region fully using its potential and how could it benefit more from it?”. Marjana Grčman, RTV Slovenia, will moderate the round table.
