ICCA has announced that it is set to host a special seminar entitled “The growth of the Latin American Congress & Convention Sector in the World Scenario” during the first edition of World Travel Market Latin America, taking place 23-25 April 2013 in Brazil.

ICCA will have a very strong presence at the World Travel Market Latin America, as both ICCA President Arnaldo Nardone and ICCA CEO Martin Sirk will be attending this new event for the Latin American travel industry.

They will be taking part in an ICCA panel in the ICCA seminar, which discusses the growth of the international association meetings market in Latin America. Marco Lomanto, Director of Products & Destinations at Embratur, is completing the ICCA panel. The session is moderated by Julio Urban, Director of Idealiza Events.

ICCA President Arnaldo Nardone commented: “Reflecting the increase in Latin America’s importance in the international meetings industry, we welcome WTM as a new tradeshow in the region. It is vital for the future prosperity of Latin America that more business leaders, politicians, and other opinion-leaders become aware of the powerful potential of international meetings for economic and business development, and for knowledge transfer and creation, and I am sure WTM and the newly formed ICCA Brazilian Committee will aid to this cause.”
