London – The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) — the voice of the global business travel industry — today announced Futurist, Author and CEO of The Futures Agency, Gerd Leonhard as the opening Keynote Speaker for the GBTA Europe Conference 2013, being held in Prague, Czech Republic on 23rd-25th September 2013.
Gerd will talk on ‘The Future of Business and Communications in a Networked Society’ focusing on how “SoLoMo” – social local mobile technology is changing the way in which we obtain, digest and use information and what this, in the context of global economic forces, means for communications, business and human relationships. The session will be supported by RADIUS, the global travel management company.
Described by the Wall Street Journal as “one of the leading media-futurists in the world” Gerd is the author of many books including The End of Control (2007) and The Future of Content (2011), although his background is in music; in 1985 he won the Quincy Jones Award and subsequently graduated from Boston’s Berklee College of Music (1987). Since 2002, following a decade as digital media entrepreneur and start-up CEO, Gerd speaks at conferences and seminars around the globe on the Future of Media, Content, Technology, Business, Advertising, Telecom, Communications and Culture.
