The Old Royal Naval College’s Admiral’s House has introduced Murder Mystery Evenings and DDR packages to corporate event planners for conferences, meetings, team building and private events.
The series of eight events spaces, part of Lime Venue Portfolio, underwent a £500,000 refurbishment project through the Greenwich Foundation’s on-going conservation work to the Old Royal Naval College (ORNC) estate. The historic structure was once the official residence of the Governor of the Hospital at the ORNC, who was inevitably a retired Admiral.
The ORNC has teamed up with specialist murder mystery providers ‘The Killing Game’ to offer Murder Mystery Evenings for groups of at least 50 guests in Admiral’s House. Attendees will witness the bloody killing within the walls of the ORNC and unravel clues to reveal the murderer. Fully trained actors will narrate the many twists and turns, with a range of plots and themes to choose from. There is a choice of two packages priced from £70 + VAT per person, both of which offer exclusive hire of Admiral’s House, entertainment, a three-course sit down dinner and coffee; the upgraded package option includes wine and a drinks reception.
Three DDR packages are also available for ten to 70 guests for corporate meetings. The ‘Wren Package’, ‘Hawksmoor Package’ and ‘Thornhill Package’ all include room hire, tea, coffee and refreshments, a choice of working lunch menus, and selection of Danish pastries and biscuits. Additional venue tours are offered at £7.50 + VAT per person, providing the opportunity for delegates to explore the historic ORNC and the numerous locations featured in films including Skyfall, Les Miserables, The Duchess and The King’s Speech.
Wayne Spicer, sales manager at the Old Royal Naval College, said: “We’ve developed our DDR offering now that the conservation work at Admiral’s House has been completed. This is a great atmospheric location for a murder mystery night, and the agent murder mystery evening we held during our launch week was very well received. I expect this will become one of the most popular event options for planners at the ORNC!”
Jo Austin, head of sales at Lime Venue Portfolio, said: “It’s really exciting that guests will have full use of this fantastic venue. The new packages play to the strengths of Admiral’s House, which is a great location for both professional meetings and atmospheric dinners.”
