Philippe Fournier, President of the Joint Meetings Industry Council (JMIC) announced that ASAE and the Centre for Association Leadership and IFES, the International Federation of Exhibition and Event Services, have now joined the Council, taking its membership to fifteen major international industry organizations.

“The addition of these two international organizations to our Council further strengthens JMIC’s ability to bring together and represent the global meetings industry at a time when there is a greater need than ever for us to be able to present a united front on key issues “, said Fournier. “It demonstrates a recognition by a wide variety of industry sectors of the importance of being able to interact and communicate on a global basis, and provides a truly representative platform for our campaign to better communicate the value of this industry and the role it plays in the global economy. We welcome them to our growing family of members and appreciate the increased breadth of perspective they will bring to the Council.”
