ACC Liverpool to Host UK’s First Festival for Fast-Growth Business

 ACCELERATE 2013, taking place on 27 June, will be headlined by Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales and will examine the key issues and challenges facing growing businesses in Britain today. 

Leaders from the world of business and beyond will deliver speeches to 1,000 entrepreneurs and business owners and take part in debates and discussions looking at the best strategies for businesses looking to expand.

Highlights include AKQA founder Ajaz Ahmed examining the impact of the digital age on British business, as well as Lord Young, the Prime Minister’s enterprise adviser, leading a session on how the government backs fast-growing companies.

General Sir Mike Jackson, former chief of the General Staff, will reveal the secrets of building the teams behind successful businesses ahead of a panel debating the most effective ways of brand building, featuring Ella’s Kitchen founder Paul Lindley, Betfair founder Ed Wray and Morgan Motor Company chairman Charles Morgan.

Elsewhere, former Dragons’ Den panellist and School for Startups founder Doug Richard will discuss the mindset behind a successful business with Dr Shailendra Vyakarnam, director of the University of Cambridge’s Judge Business School.

The programme also includes Martha Lane Fox, co-founder of lastminute.com, legendary former All Blacks captain Sean Fitzpatrick, now a successful businessman and Renaud Visage, Co-founder of Eventbrite.

RBS and Coutts will support the event, which will also include panel debates and business boot-camps, covering topics such as the impact of the digital age, networking in the 21st Century and building a world-class brand.
