The Fare of London team will be celebrating the first National Waiters Day this Sunday 23rd June by entering the Brunswick Square waiter challenge along with participating in a range of hospitality activities.
Fare of London Waiter Csaba Szabó, supported by hospitality staff from the Fare of London team will be flying the flag for the contract and event catering firm by taking part in the National Waiters Race for which many Front of House hospitality staff will flock to London’s Brunswick Square.
Csaba will represent the company by sporting the Fare of London waiters uniform and partaking in the ‘fun run’ style race in which the participants must complete a one kilometre route of two laps of Brunswick Square while balancing a bottle of Badoit mineral water on a tray. On the day, prizes will be awarded to the fastest waitress, fastest waiter, best dressed and winning team.
National Waiters Day, the brainchild of general manager at Galvin at Windows Fred Sirieix, has been designed to celebrate and recognise all front of house staff. The aim of the day is to educate people about careers in the hospitality industry and to change the perception of front of house service as an unskilled job.
Fare of London’s Managing Director John Durden said: “We are really pleased to be participating in such an event and are very proud to have one of our staff members representing the Fare of London brand. It is great to finally have a National Waiters Day to recognise the key role of our front of house service staff; they play a vital role in representing Fare of London and are at the forefront of our client interface.”
