From 21–27 October 2013, the first Berlin Health Week will take place with many events related to health and health care.
Highlight will be the renowned World Health Summit, a gathering of the international elite from the medical world.
The World Health Summit is the annual conference of the M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centres, Universities and National Academies, organized by Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin in collaboration with the National Academies of Sciences of more the 67 countries and their Interacademy Medical Panel (IAMP).
The vision of the World Health Summit is improved health worldwide, catalyzed through collaboration and open dialogue, setting tomorrow’s agenda for improved research, education, health care and policy outcomes.
The World Health Summit’s (WHS) mission is to bring together researchers, physicians, leading government officials and representatives from industry as well as from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and health care systems worldwide to address the most pressing issues facing medicine and health care systems over the next decade and beyond.
Committed to improving global health the M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centers, Universities and National Academies is the strong foundation of academic excellence on which the World Health Summit is build. Moreover we experience strong political support on the global, national and state level.
Berlin has become one of the leading destinations for medical and scientific meetings in recent years.
