Interactive museum, The British Music Experience (BME), situated within The O2, has revealed plans to expand its offering to target the corporate events market.
Launched in 2007, the BME is Britain’s only interactive museum of popular music and is now targeting the events market through a combination of cutting-edge AV technology and a celebrated archive of coveted music memorabilia.
The BME’s 3,730 square foot Finale Space is available for private hire seven days a week and can be transformed to host banquets for 288, conferences for 350 and receptions for up to 400 guests. Daytime packages start from £79 per person, for a minimum of 150 people. Reception style events can also be held within the exhibition providing guests with a very unique backdrop to their party.
The museum offers guests the chance to create a personal musical journey as they explore interactive exhibits using its advanced ‘Smarticket’. By touching any of the 50 sensor points around the venue, individual content and recordings can be kept and shared via social media after the event.
Interactive activities available to event organisers and attendees range from Dance the Decades, where guests can record their own dance videos, to the Interactive Studio, where they can hone their musical talents including singing or playing instruments ranging from the drums to the guitar.
The British Music Experience was created as a charitable venture and reinvests income generated into music based educational programmes which focus on music’s roots as an alternative social history.
