Contract and event catering firm Fare of London are celebrating British Cheese Week this week (7th-15th September) with the introduction of two new British cheeses across all of their client venues. The new cheeses Burnwood Bole and Francis are produced by independent cheese producer James McCall and include last year’s winner of the Best New Cheese category at the British Cheese Awards.
The new cheese range will be incorporated into Fare of London’s menus and on cheese boards for the forthcoming season.
Recently appointed Group Executive Head Chef and cheese connoisseur David Summerell said: “We are always proud to support British Cheeses and local suppliers at every turn. The new cheeses are innovative and also taste fantastic. We like to make the most of traditional cheeses in our menus and on our cheese boards yet we also take great pleasure in keeping abreast of new cheese trends and new products which are introduced into the market. Around 90 per cent of our cheese selection is British produce and we always look for the quality assured label.”
Fare of London’s Managing Director John Durden said: “Here at Fare of London, we are particularly proud of our cheese range. I am very pleased to have chefs such as David on board who really know their cheeses. We know where our products are sourced and always aim to buy British and support local suppliers.”
British Cheese Week is a national campaign intended to raise the profile of British cheeses and suppliers. More information is available at http://www.britishcheese.com
