ICCA Forum for Young Professionals extends capacity to accommodate 35 Young Professionals
EIBTM (www.eibtm.com), the leading global event for the meetings and events industry has once again partnered with the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) to deliver The Forum for Young Professionals, which will take place in conference room 5.3 from 9am-6pm on Monday 18 November.
In recognising the increasing importance of young people in the meetings industry, the partners have increased the allocation for the programme this year to 35 young professionals and are they are encouraging those interested to apply, via http://www.iccaworld.com/dbs/fyp
The application deadline for The Forum for Young Professionals (FYP) is Friday 20 September. Young professionals (under the age of 30) should be enthusiastic team players with a full-time job in the events business of ICCA member orgnisations and should have no more than 3 years experience in the Meetings Industry.
To date, the programme has received a number of applications from young professionals working in countries including Brazil, Germany, Argentina, India, Austria, Kenya, Belgium, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom and South Africa.
Hjördís María Ólafsdóttir, Reykjavík Convention Bureau, who attended the ICCA FYP in 2012 commented, “The Forum for Young Professionals is by far the best Forum that I have attended so far. The ICCA Forum for Young Professionals is an initiative that has been developed to reach out and help young meetings professionals to gain a fresh perspective on meetings management and the industry as well as enhance their professional skills and connect and network with peers from around the world.

EIBTM 2013 will take place from 19th – 21st November, a week earlier than in previous years. The EIBTM Forum will take place the day before the exhibition on 18thNovember.
