Twickenham reveals new event spaceTwickenham Experience  launched a new offering of events spaces within its unique on-site World Rugby Museum.   The newly renovated museum spaces complement Twickenham Experience’s purpose-built conference centre, providing event organisers with the opportunity to incorporate the cultural and historical aspects of Twickenham Stadium in order to enrich the delegate experience.

The newly available spaces will include the Museum galleries, an AV theatre and exhibition area, offering a combined capacity of 150 people. These are particularly suited to drinks receptions.

The museum was originally named the Museum of Rugby and re-launched in 2007 as the World Rugby Museum, the oldest, most extensive and important collection of rugby football memorabilia in the world. Located within the stadium’s East Stand, the site showcases over 25,000 artefacts and hosts a regular programme of special exhibitions.

Amir Vered, Head of Sales and Marketing at Twickenham Experience, said: “We are really excited to unveil these new event spaces which add a further unique element to our venue.  While we gear up for the 2013/14 rugby season, this new offering will give our delegates a chance to really get involved with Twickenham’s rugby heritage and gain an enriching and educational experience in the midst of some of the most fascinating  artefacts in the history of the sport.”

Michael Rowe, the World Rugby Museum’s Curator says: “We are really pleased to work with the conference and events team on the new events offering and look forward to hosting Twickenham delegates for a unique event experience here at the museum.”
