EIBTM (www.eibtm.com), the global event for the meetings and events industry, has confirmed that Alexander Kjerulf, Chief Happiness Officer and Founder of Woohoo Inc. (www.woohooinc.com), is set to challenge how we approach happiness in the workplace during his session at the show.
All EIBTM attendees are invited to attend ‘What the Heck is Arbejdsglaede?!’ which will take place in the Lecture Theatre on Thursday 21 November, (10.00 – 11.00). The session will impart insight into the simple, proven methods that will contribute towards creating a happier workplace.
Alexander Kjerulf comments, “Denmark is the world’s happiest country, and Danish workers are also the happiest in the world. Happiness at the workplace is of great importance and is a big contributor to motivation and performance. Only the Danes have a word for happiness at work – yes, you guessed it – Arbejdsglaede! In my session, I will share what it is that Danish workplaces and managers are doing right, and how we can learn from them”.
Graeme Barnett, Reed Travel Exhibitions, EIBTM Senior Exhibition Director, comments, “We are thrilled to have Alexander speaking at the show this year. His innovative approach to creating a relaxed and happy workplace, and his ability to keep his message simple, practical and fun, is no doubt going to make for a fantastic and inspirational education session”.
Alexander Kjerulf, one of the world’s leading experts on happiness at work, is a speaker, consultant and best-selling author of three books including ‘Happy Hour is 9 to 5’. He presents and conducts workshops all over the world, and his clients include Hilton, Microsoft, LEGO, IKEA, Shell, HP and IBM.
EIBTM 2013 will take place from 19th – 21st November, a week earlier than in previous years. The EIBTM Forum will take place the day before the exhibition on 18th November.
