Madrid – The Jury for FITUR’s “Travel Blogger 2014” Competition has just chosen its European and American finalists. We might highlight the strong level of participation, based on an overall figure of 248 entries (compared to 131 entries at the previous edition in 2013) from 43 countries.
The Jury was made up of the following members: Benito Castro (eventoblog.com), Pedro Jareño and Gonzalo Moreno (Minube), Marcelo Risi (The World Tourism Organisation, UNWTO), José Luis Perdomo (bitacoras.com), Yeyo Ballesteros (Room Mate Hotels) and Bernardo Fuertes (Conde Nast Traveler).
The Jury evaluated all contestants who had surpassed the figure of 50 votes (an indispensable requirement for candidates to continue to the next stage) in accordance with the following criteria:
50% quality of the blog and its contents
30% dissemination/social media/prestige of the blogger
20% design/image.
