The winter calendar fills in Cannes, two new events at the Palais des Festivals and Congresses : C10 and AMRAE
The Palais des Festivals and Congresses of Cannes announced two new major exhibitions in addition to the eleven new events already revealed during the Sales & Marketing Action Plan 2014. The two newcomers are : C10, leader in beverage dispensing, from November 6th to 11th, 2014 and the annual congress of AMRAE, the Association for Corporate Risk and Insurance from February 4th to 6th, 2015. Good news for the local economy during a traditionally very quiet period in a time where worldwide competition increases.
The marketing team of the Palais des Festivals and Congresses, at the instigation of its Head office, works relentlessly to convince event planners to choose Cannes and confirms 12 new assignments for the coming year, representing 13 850 congress participants and 32 800 overnight stays.
In spite of the explosion of offers worldwide, Cannes remains an offensive destination in the business tourism sector. David Lisnard, President of the Palais des Festivals and Congresses and 1st deputy mayor of Cannes, underlines : “In a very difficult economic context for France, the mobilization of the sales forces of the Palais des Festivals and Congresses, in partnership with the local hotelkeeper unions and the concerned professionals, contributes to support tourism, an essential sector for the stability of employment and the local economy. This work shows results today with the appointment of two new B to B events. A constant dialogue with the local tourism actors and event organizers allows us to propose attractive solutions. I am particularly happy about the new congress in February, a traditionally quite difficult month”.

C10 exhibition in Cannes – November 2014

AMRAE congress in Cannes – February 2015
For 3 days in Cannes, the Association for Corporate Risk and Insurance will gather the leading players of safety and risk management for the 23rd edition of its annual congress. Exchanges, reflections and sharing of experiences are planned around the current events of the sector.

These events will come to complete the recurring events, the effects of which irrigate the whole departmental economy and that take place every year in Cannes as MIDEM, MIPIM, MIPTV, Cannes Film Festival, Cannes Lions, Cannes Boat Show, MIPCOM, Tax Free World Exhibition, Mare di Moda, MAPIC …
