This is the fourth time that the Spanish hotel chain receives the award for “Best Hotel Chain in the World” by this prestigious magazine
RIU Hotels & Resorts has been voted a winner at the prestigiousTravel Weekly Globe Travel Awards 2014: Receiving the accolade of “Best Hotel Chain World-wide”. This award is especially important to the company since it is voted for solely by the agent community. This is the eighth time the Spanish company has received a Globe Award. Previously winning in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and now 2014.
The prize was awarded during a ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Thursday 16th of January. More then 1,000 guests attended the event, which was hosted by the comedian, actor and entertainer James Corden, with additional entertainment coming from classical string quartet Escala and Rick Parfitt Junior’s RPJ Band.
The award was collected by Danielle Morrison, UK Sales Manager for RIU Hotels & Resorts, who stated: “It is a great honour to win such an award which is voted for by the trade. It shows agents have faith in our expanding product lines and support RIU in their commitment to achieving fantastic service and quality levels”.
The Globe Travel Awards is one of the most prestigious awards ceremonies in the travel industry. It is presented by Travel Weekly and sponsored by Associated Newspapers.
