ABTS teams up with the Tour de Cure® as VIP SPONSOR to aid in the fight to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. MIAMI, Florida – ABTS Convention Services (ABTS), a global company specializing in supporting and increasing association’s international attendees worldwide, teamed up with the American Diabetes Association to support the Tour de Cure signature bicycle ride in Miami.
With a background in the medical conventions industry, health and wellness are at the forefront of ABTS’ company culture. Contribution to local wellness programs and participation in events like the Tour de Cure are part of ABTS’ corporate responsibility. The American Diabetes Association (ADA) hosts its signature event, the Tour de Cure®, in 44 states nationwide to aid in fundraising towards preventing and curing diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone; all routes are supported from start to finish with rest stops, food to fuel the journey and cheering fans. In 2013, more than 65,000 cyclists in 89 events raised more than $26 million to support the mission of the American Diabetes Association. “We are very proud supporters of ADA. We have collaborated on their annual meeting for over a decade and have been sponsoring the Tour de Cure in Miami for the last 3 years,” said Davide Veglia, ABTS President. “We are especially proud to have been this year’s VIP Sponsor and to have had the honor of welcoming in our VIP Area not only major contributors, but, most importantly, RED RIDERS– all those riders who participate in the Tour de Cure and have diabetes themselves.”
