Every four years, the Year in Czech Music is marked with performances and other events showcasing the country’s long musical heritage. The tradition began in 1924 with the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Bedřich Smetana, and continues in 2014 with a particularly remarkable year with more than 60 special anniversaries of prominent Czech composers, performers and musical organizations, including Antonín Dvořák, Leoš Janáček, Bohuslav Martinů, Josef Suk and the Prague Symphony Orchestra.
For this occasion, Four Seasons Hotel Prague has created a Czech Experience package including luxurious accommodation in a Renaissance Room or Renaissance Suite, continental breakfast for two, two tickets for classical music program in a nearby church and CD with classical music by Czech composers as a keepsake gift. Local Czech amenities including pilsner beer with pretzels, traditional pastry called babovka, local wine and more will be placed in the guest room during the stay. The Czech Experience package is valid from March 1, 2014 and is based on minimum two nights stay with rates starting at EUR 505.00.
