Web-based audience interaction specialist sli.do has scooped Event Technology of The Year at the 2013 Eventex Awards.
Entries for the international awards were judged by a jury of respected meeting and event industry professionals, including Stefania Conti-Vecchi of EVENTagist, Editor of Event Manager Blog Julius Solaris and Anna Górska, Chair of the International Congress and Convention Association for Central Europe. sli.do received the highest rating across all award entries with an average of 8.5 out of a possible 10, winning its category against well-established competitors.
Peter Komornik, CEO of sli.do, commented: “We feel incredibly honoured by this award. We have been working very hard for the past two years and it feels very rewarding and motivating to be recognised by such a respected jury.
“We realise that technology needs to become a valuable asset rather than a burden for event organisers and believe it should be so simple that participants won’t even notice that they’re using it. Therefore simplicity is the core value of everything we do at sli.do.”
Established in Slovakia in 2012, sli.do has recently opened offices in London and San Francisco. The company was awarded Best New Event Tech Start-up at the inaugural UK Event Technology Awards last year, as well as winning the Best Tool at the prestigious #Fresh14 Conference. sli.do has worked with a range of high-profile clients, including Google, KPMG, Tesco, SAP and Oracle.
