New for this year is the Travel Tech region on the exhibition floor which will host some of the biggest names in the travel technology industry including Google and TripAdvisor.

WTM Latin America Exhibition Director Lawrence Reinisch said “WTM Latin America 2014 is set to be even bigger and better than last year with exhibitors from Brazil, Latin America and the rest of the world already confirming their presence.

“This high level of acceptance and demand from exhibitors reflects WTM Latin America’s importance for the region’s tourism sector and is developing by leaps and bounds, overcoming the global financial crisis, which has affected the economic development in many countries around the world.

“Latin American countries have seen the number of visitor arrivals increase by almost 50% in the last 10 years, rising from 54 million in 2003 to a forecast figure of 80 million for the current year. And Brazil is the main star in this picture. It is no coincidence that the eyes of the global travel industry are firmly focused on the country, which will play host to two global events over the course of the next three years.”
