Brunel Commercial Conferences and Events, the meetings offering at Brunel University, London, UK, is to actively target international association events as part of a new marketing strategy.
Leveraging its main academic disciplines in engineering, social sciences, law and mathematics the university venue hopes to build and grow its association business in these areas.
Brunel Commercial Conferences and Events has invested in exhibiting at IMEX in Frankfurt, The Meetings Show, and IMEX America this year to target these associations.
It is also working to create an ambassador programme to help to entice potential engineering events to the venue.
Rekha Haughton, Head of Conference, Hotel & Retail and Commercial Services at Brunel says: “We have ambitious targets to build and grow our international association events market this year, particularly in the areas of engineering, social sciences, law and mathematics which Brunel is known for.
“Our specialism in these areas coupled with our central location and space offering means we are geared up to host these types of events.”
The complex offers a range of conference and event facilities for up to 1,500 delegates with good quality accommodation all year round and extended options available at weekends and during the summer months, outside of term time. The complex also comprises the Lancaster Hotel and Spa which has 70-ensuite bedrooms.
