The premiere of the Spanish hotel group Meliá Hotels International in Austria could not have been more impressive: on the 26th of February 2014 the hotel group opened the design hotel “Meliá Vienna” during the official opening of the Danube City (DC) Tower.
Unique design
The DC-Tower designed by the Parisian architect Dominique Perrault, with its 250 meters (including 30 meters antenna) is currently the tallest skyscraper in Austria and thus the Melia Vienna the highest hotel in Europe. Behind the spectacular glass facade of the building you will find calm, subdued colors, fine materials and a purist ambience.
Across 15 floors the hotel boasts 253 exquisite bedrooms (including 40 suites and a 200 sqm Presidential Suite with 180 degree panoramic views). All are equipped with the latest technical equipment. Guests can enjoy a spectacular 360-degree view from the top of the tower and culinary delights in the “57 Restaurant & Lounge,” which occupies the top two floors of the DC Tower. Chef Siegfried Kröpfl primarily focuses on Mediterranean cuisine and local specialties.
Stunning location and excellent service
As well as our rooftop bar we offer a total of 1,080 square meters of flexible space for extraordinary events including a Grand Ballroom with a terrace overlooking the city and 8 flexible breakout rooms. The Meliá Vienna offers its guests excellent service and the most modern facilities in terms of Hi-Fi and comfort.
