Central Hall Westminster today announced new content for its interactive technology conference ‘Meet The Future’, including the first UK demonstration of iBeacon™ technology for the events industry, to be delivered by conference app producer Eventbase. The event will also feature a holographic interview with author and lecturer Dr. Paul Redmond, discussing his research into ‘Generation Y’ and the future of work.

Eventbase will be showcasing its new iBeacon™-powered app technology, which enables smartphone and tablet users to detect ‘beacons’ placed around the venue and interact with people and objects around them, creating huge potential for personalised messaging to event participants via enabled Smartphone devices. Eventbase will also feature in a panel debate focusing on the various auto-identifying technologies that are available, joining Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) specialist Excelerated Apps to discuss the potential use of the technology in events.

Dr. Redmond is set to feature on Meet The Future’s holographic stage, demonstrating the latest in interactive 3D holographic projection technology presented by MUSION. Dr. Redmond, who is the author of several books and a frequent guest on TV and radio, will be discussing his research examining generational differences and how this will affect the workplace of the future.
