Industry insiders, consumers and stakeholders in the regional travel sector are being urged to cast their ballots ahead of the deadline for votes at the World Travel Awards Africa & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony 2014.
The ceremony will take place at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja in Nigeria on September 5th, with voting scheduled to close on June 15th.
World Travel Awards saw its annual Grand Tour launch successfully in Dubai in May, with Gala Ceremonies scheduled for Athens, Greece, Quito, Ecuador and the sunshine island of Angullia, before the organisation lands in Abuja in September.
The red-carpet ceremony will welcome industry leaders from across the region, as well as offering the finest in local entertainment, a gourmet banquet and, of course, the presentation of the prestigious trophies.
Ahead of the event World Travel Awards President Graham Cooke said: “Preparations for the next stops on our annual Grand Tour are well underway and we are looking forward to our time in Abuja, Nigeria, later this year. With just two weeks to go until voting for the Africa & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony closes now is the time to make your voice heard.
“Recognition by the World Travel Awards is rightly seen as the highest accolade in the industry, and your vote can really make a difference. Register for your chance to vote now.”
As the countdown to the prestigious World Travel Awards Africa & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony beings, Transcorp Hilton Abuja General Manager Etienne Gailliez said: “All hands are on deck to make the hosting of Africa & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony a memorable one for all the industry stakeholders and guests.
“We are poised to replicate our recent successful hosting of the World Economic Forum on Africa and deliver a world class experience at the ceremony.”
