Knowledge and Hosted Buyer Programme aims to attract organisers planning events in China and Asia

The International Association of Exhibitions and Events™ (IAEE) has teamed up once again with CIBTM (www.cibtm.com), the leading trade show for the meetings and events industry in China and Asia, to host qualified meeting planners at its event which takes place from 17-19 September 2014, in Beijing, where the association will also co-produce education content at the event.

IAEE Chief Operating Officer Cathy Breden, CAE, CMP, said, “As the global organisation representing the exhibitions and events industry, the International Association of Exhibitions and EventsTM (IAEE) recognises the importance of partnering with CIBTM and having an presence in the MICE industry in China and Asia. This is an important region for us as we currently have more than 1,000 industry professionals with the IAEE Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM), which demonstrates the importance of providing education to this market.”

“For anyone exploring countries in Asia as a potential market to take an event, CIBTM is the perfect opportunity to learn about the area and to understand the evolving trends. From PCOs to airlines, to venues, to hotels, participating as a hosted buyer or taking an exhibit stand is a perfect opportunity in this emerging marketplace. CIBTM is a great partner and we will be informing our members of this wonderful Hosted Buyer opportunity. IAEE participated in CIBTM 2013, and had great success in furthering our initiative to have a presence before this important audience. I look forward to attending and visiting the exhibits and taking part in the professional education, so I can better understand the market myself!” Breden continues.

Jacqui Timmins, Exhibition Director CIBTM, Reed Travel Exhibitions commented, “We are delighted to renew our partnership with IAEE, and for their support in creating some cutting edge content for our education programme to drive career development and industry knowledge.”
