Portugal Wins! UEFA Champions League Final
The UEFA Champions League Final, Lisbon, Portugal May 24-25, was historic – at the final there were two teams from the same city – the beautiful Madrid. This exciting turn of events held the audience captive until the last minute! The event was also memorable for the city of Lisbon – for shining an important spotlight on the city and for its large impact on its economy.

The event brought in about 45 million euro, as quoted by the International Meetings Review study by IPAM – The Marketing School. “Between expenses on catering, travel, ticket sales, advertising, security, merchandising and television rights, from the preparation to the aftermath, the Champions League Final has registered an overall economic impact of €409.8 million,” reads the study.

The main sponsors of the event had the privilege to attend the final and each of the eight companies organized a series of parallel activities for their teams and guests. One of those sponsors was UniCredit, who hosted 1.200 guests and staff members. AIM Group International – Lisbon team had the unique opportunity to support UniCredit at the destination. “We were well aware from the beginning that for UniCredit this was an important celebration of a great UEFA season as well as a chance to treat many guests and staff members to this memorable occasion,” shares Susanna Tocca, Managing Director of AIM Group in Lisbon. “We were proud to represent Lisbon as a destination with all that the city and surroundings had to offer.
