The 47th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) is considered to be the top conference in its field in the world. The conference opened early this week, with the participation of nearly 3,000 physicians from all around the world.
Thousands of participants from over 75 countries arrived to the ICC Jerusalem, for a leading medical conference, which lasts over four days. “Bringing the conference to Jerusalem was a long-term process, which lasted for five years”, says Mira Altman, CEO of ICC Jerusalem, “Prof. Raanan Shamir (a member of the board of the organization and Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee) led the complex process until the successful Result. As for us, we competed against world’s leading convention centers, and, naturally, we dedicated considerable resources and big efforts in order to win this bid, and now I can say it was certainly paid off”.
The conference is produced by Ortra (PCOs), which is located in Israel, in full cooperation with MCI International.
