Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE): The wait is finally over for Disney On Ice fans across the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Sport & Entertainment Solutions (SES) is thrilled to announce that Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and friends will strap on their ice skates and blade into the Dubai World Trade Centre Arena in a must-see performance of the year when Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After.
Produced by Feld Entertainment, organised by SES and supported by Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Disney On Ice presents Rockin’ Ever After will no doubt become the event that everyone will be talking about this summer. Exciting acts and magical Disney stories, told like never before in a brand new ice spectacular, are sure to delight families from across the region this September.
The event runs from 10th – 13th September 2014 at the Dubai World Trade Centre Arena. Tickets will soon be available to buy at all Virgin Megastores and online from http://www.virginmegastores.ae

Up to 100 cast and crew members will descend on Dubai in August to prepare for the first Disney On Ice spectacular at DWTC. Transforming the DWTC into a skating arena will be 48,000 litres of water, two 64 ton refrigerators and a whopping 425 man hours.
Once the ice has set, the talent extravaganza begins. The Disney rock stars burst out onto the ice in an explosion of colour to music featured on the Disney Channel. The mesmerising opening includes a dance-off-sing-off between the boys and girls, led by none other than Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.
One of nine Disney On Ice productions produced by Feld Entertainment, Rockin’ Ever After introduces Disney’s newest princesses to the ice: Merida from Disney-Pixar’s BRAVE and Rapunzel from Disney’s Tangled.
“We are taking a fresh spin on how we’re presenting the Disney stories,” said Producer, Juliette Feld. “The popular talent show trend is used as a vehicle to weave together the four worlds of Merida, Ariel, Belle and Rapunzel. We include acts like Cinderella’s stepsisters tap dancing; Gaston debating which of his many ‘talents’ he should perform; Pinocchio singing and the harmless hooligans from Tangled unleashing musical mayhem with giant frying pans in hand.”
Feld Entertainment has once again pushed its cast of world-class skaters to the limit with a Spanish web act during The Little Mermaid segment. The act sees Ariel emerge from Ursula’s cauldron AND transform from a mermaid to human, before dangling a staggering 35-feet over the ice showing off her brand new legs.

Director Patty Vincent travelled to Scotland to research the details of BRAVE and prepare for its Disney On Ice debut. This segment of the show opens with headstrong Merida blazing across the ice as if she were running freely through the highlands of her native country. The choreography changes to a more festive style, heavily influenced by Scottish dancing, for the presentation of the suitors. All three clans – MacIntosh, MacGuffin and Dingwall – arrive prepared to fight for Merida’s hand in marriage after Queen Elinor extends the invitation. Merida’s mischievous trio of brothers provide laughs as they take swings at one another and mock the rest of their Scottish friends.

Costumes are another important factor in recreating the scene and bringing the action to life. Each clan has a unique kilt pattern, called a tartan. These kilts embody Scottish tradition and celebrate Merida’s heritage.
In Beauty and the Beast’s “Be Our Guest”, the theatrical elements of the glitzy napkins and silverware costumes will astound audiences. Costume Designer, Cynthia Nordstrom, brought the castle’s enchanted entourage to life by choosing fabrics that unfold as the performers raise their arms, attaching pieces that extend the costumes outwards.
