The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC) can today announce an extensive refurbishment programme to re-establish the Centre’s ‘wow factor’. The ambitious programme of capital works will provide aesthetic and visual improvements and enhanced facilities to the building and facility environment.

The improvements are focused on enhancing the customer experience and will create a more modern, quality and stylish environment and improve way finding. These works will have a significant impact on improving user and visitor perceptions whilst stimulating client interest and business generation.

Mark Taylor, chief executive officer, said: “The QEIICC was constructed to an exceedingly high standard – as a beacon of British excellence, design, ingenuity and craftsmanship – a jewel of the Government of the day. All jewels need constant polishing and the QEIICC is no exception. We have worked with specialists to create a Master Plan – focusing on the customer experience and on improving the delegate journey through the Centre. Client feedback has already been extremely positive and I look forward to welcoming the industry to see the ‘new’ Centre in the autumn.”
