LONDON, July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/- Business travel specialist to offer tailor-made Scottish whisky and golf tours

Independent corporate travel agent Paul Godfrey has unveiled an inbound tour operation called SWAG Tours (http://swagtours.com).

The company will offer bespoke tours that include visits to whisky distilleries and Scotland’s finest golf courses.

Over recent years Godfrey has established himself as a leading business travel intermediary for technology and finance companies, trading as PG Travel, part of the Tzell Travel Group. But Fife-based Godfrey’s decision to start a Scottish tour operation for the leisure sector, which will target high-end travellers from the UK & Ireland, Scandinavia and the US, was made off the back of his own enthusiasm for whisky and golf.

He says tailor-made packages will differentiate SWAG from the competition.

He said: “We are offering something you can just buy off the shelf. Each trip is different and built to the client’s individual specifications.

“We have access to the top courses, distilleries and hotels across Scotland, and create a completely bespoke experience that marries these two fantastic pastimes.

“The people to whom we have access will make a huge difference. For example, we have leading whisky industry experts to curate fantastic tasting experiences, and distillery managers and master blenders to guide clients through the art of whisky making.

“We have access to tee times at the best courses across Scotland, including the most famous and the hidden gems only played by locals.”

Godfrey is also working closely with Gleneagles, the venue of this year’s Ryder Cup that will be played on the world-famous Centenary Course.

Initially SWAG will offer tours direct to consumers in the UK from its website, while selling through agents in the US.

A trade sales selling strategy for the UK and Ireland will be implemented in the future.
