The Tourism Innovation and Technology Forum will feature a special showroom devoted to the tourism of the future
Madrid – FITUR 2015, the International Tourism Trade Fair, an event organised by IFEMA to be staged from 28th January to 1st February 2015 at FERIA DE MADRID, will present the impact that technology has had on the field of tourism within the framework of its specialised section, FITURTECH. Furthermore, this Tourism Innovation and Technology Forum will feature a special showroom devoted to the tourism of the future.
FITURTECH 2015 will take place under the heading of “Adventure in Tourism” and its programme will be split into three sections: “The Iliad”, “The New World” and “2001: Space Odyssey”. “The Iliad” (28th January) will host the staging of the Second International Travel Media Meeting, which includes a series of live interviews with members of the Spanish and foreign media. This session will also tackle themes such as “Collaborative Economics”, “From BYOD to I Am the Device”, “Mobility: The End of Apps?” and “The Future of Searches and Data”. The session will also include a paper on PhoCusWright and a Workshop on “Big Data Management in the Tourist Industry”.
The session on 29th January will be devoted to “The New World”, including a conference on “The Industry and the Challenges of Technology” and a roundtable on “The New Traveller”. The themes to be addressed include “Hotels: Traditional Models and Successful Formulas” and “Millennials: Hotels for the New Guest”, whilst a workshop will also be organised. Finally, “2001: Space Odyssey” is the name of the session that will take place on 30th January at FITURTECH, which will focus on aspects such as “HotelGen3: Tools for the Third Generation Hotel”.
